Alumni Program

Viewbank College is building an Alumni Program
Viewbank College is developing an alumni program in partnership with the not-for-profit organisation Our school. As part of that the school has welcomed back several alumni to share their insights with current students this term.
Ahead of the Year 10 students’ upcoming work experience, they heard from an alumni panel which included psychologist Sara Tatlow (class of 1997), lawyer Andrew Meiliunas (class of 1999), founder and director or the web development and marketing agency RankRise, Will Qu (class of 2013), and journalist Lakshmi Ganapathy (class of 2017).
In a separate session the current Year 12 students heard from a group of students from the Class of 2025. During that event Kieran Holmes, Charlotte White, Phoenix Suhrou-Dimarco and Em Adams shared what they had learnt from their Year 12 experience last year.
In another component of the alumni program, a group of Year 10 Business Management students visited the Melbourne office of the consulting group KPMG, where a Viewbank College alum Melissa Nassios is a director.
Former Viewbank College can join the school’s alumni network using the link below. The program is also open to alumni of Viewbank College’s foundation schools, Banyule High School and Rosanna East High School.

A call for Drama and Theatre Studies stories from Viewbank College’s early days
Peter Stevens, a former teacher of Drama and Theatre Studies at Banyule High (1981 - 1992) and Viewbank Secondary College (1993 - 1995), is writing a book exploring the value of having a theatre in a school and the importance of creative opportunities - such as the school productions - in someone’s educational life.
Peter would love to hear from his former Viewbank College Drama and Theatre Studies students from the school’s early years, as well as his former students at Banyule High, which was one of the close that became Viewbank College.
Peter says: “I am looking for any student who has fond memories of those early days, along with any anecdote that might connect your present life or job with those early theatrical experiences.
“All memories , whether backstage, acting or set making etc, are important for this book to work. So, no story is too small. If Trent Fowler, Maree Samara, Trish Hardy, Stuart Crawford, Melika and Bojun Chiswell, Belinda McIntyre, Michael Hurst, David Italia, Libby Sandy, Marni Presswell, Louisa and Cory Quilliam, Jet Gray, Paul Osta (to name a few) are out there, I’d love to hear from you.”
If you are a former Theatre or Drama student of Peter’s with a story to share, please reach out to Viewbank College’s alumni program coordinator, Marina Penderis at 8812-viewbankAlumni@schools.vic.edu.au.
