We are pleased to have been able to reschedule our Welcome Back BBQ. This will now take place on Wedensday March 27th from 4.00-6.00pm, directly after the class Expos.

As the event has been rescheduled you will need to book your ticket again. Ticket sales are open and available through link

We look forward to having all parents and carers in the classrooms for the Term 1 Expos. Come along and explore the learning your child has undertaken this term.

Stay on after the Expos for the Welcome Back BBQ outside the Hall, a great opportunity to reconnect with parents and meet new members of our community.

An Information session will be held on Monday March 18th from 6.30 to 7.00 in the Library - invitation attached.

Our school has partnered with an independent provider called TheirCare to provide exceptional Outside School Hours Care services for our school community. Do you live somewhere which has lots of neighbourhood traffic?

Are you able to assist the school by having an advertising board at the front of your property for a few weeks?

If you can assit please contact the office on 9857 5157 or email on boroondara.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Parking

A reminder all carparks at Boroondara Park PS are for staff parking. Parents need to park on the street and be sure the follow all parking signs.

At the moment there is an issue in the Bolinda Road carpark - parents should not be parking in the car park at the end of the school day ready for pick up. A number of our Education Support staff finish work at 3.30pm, it is making it impossible for them to leave if parents are parked in or across the driveway.

All families need to remember the turning circle at the end of Bolinda Road, is for turning not parking.

NAPLAN

Next week our Year 3 and Year 5 students start the sit the NAPLAN assessments.

Our staff have been preparing our students, by revising writing styles and ensuring students have an understanding of and experience with test situations. They will have undertaken a practice test and we have all system reading for next week.

It will be quiet on these mornings and we would ask our Year 3 and 5 students to be sure to be on time for school next week.

NAPLAN dates -

Wednesday March 14th - Writing

Thursday March 15th - Reading

Monday March 18th - Conventions of Language

Tuesday March 19th - Numeracy

Public Holiday March 11th

This coming Monday March 11th is the Labor Day public holiday, there is no school on this day.
