ACS Cross Country

38 students competed in the ACS Cross Country Carnival recently in Barraba. Well done to every student who ran with endurance, grit and determination as they tackled the challenging course.

Congratulations to the students who achieved top 10 placings on the day - Evie, Zoe, Sadie and Stella.

A special congratulations to Zoe, who qualified for the ACS team and went on to compete at NSWCPS and CCC Cross Country Championships.

NSWRU Primary School Rugby 7s

Students had a fantastic experience representing our school at the NSWRU Primary School Rugby 7s held in Granville. Across six fast-paced games, our team of 12 Stage 3 students showed resilience, adaptability and growing confidence in both attack and defence.

A big thank you to our parent coaches, Drew Eather and Jack Freeman for their support and guidance throughout the day.

To add to the excitement, students attended the Waratahs match that night, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

ACS Rugby Union Trials and Gary McSweeney Cup

11 boys from Stage 3 travelled to Tamworth to compete in the ACS Diocesan Rugby Union Trials and Gary McSweeney Cup Day.

Despite the cold and wet conditions, the players took to the field and played fantastic rugby. They ran hard, tackled strong and worked as a team to support one another continuously throughout the three games they played. Well done boys!

NSWCPS and CCC Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to Zoe Wannan, who represented our school at the NSWCPS and CCC Cross Country Championships in Sydney last week.

Zoe ran an outstanding race, finishing 10th overall in the Girls 8/9 Years age group! This is an incredible achievement at such a high level of competition.

Athletics Carnival

What a fantastic day of competition, participation and school spirit at our annual Athletics Carnival last Friday!

Well done to all students who gave their best throughout the day, competing in age race heats as well as our track and field event finals.

Our Infants students enjoyed their own mini carnival, taking part in hurdles, relays, egg and spoon races and many other fun activities. Meanwhile, Primary students not competing in field events stayed active with a variety of ball games.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing the finish line lined with enthusiastic students and families cheering on every runner as they crossed the line. The encouragement and support created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the carnival.

An extra special congratulations to Stella Craig, who set a new school record in the 11 Years Girls 100m. Breaking a 42-year-old record which has been held since 1984 by Helen Alexander!
