We thank you for the wonderful term we have shared as a school family. Thank you for the growth in our learning, the laughter on the playground, and the friendships that keep us strong.
As we head into the holidays, we ask for your blessings on our families and our local community. Watch over them, keep our travels safe, and refresh our hearts so we may return next term ready to shine your light.

First Eucharist
Congratulations to our Year 3 students who recently celebrated the Sacrament of First Eucharist. This special milestone marks an important step in their faith journey as they received Holy Communion for the first time.
We thank our parish, teachers and families for their support and guidance in preparing the students for this sacred occasion.
Sacrament of Confirmation
In Term 3, baptised Catholic students in Stage 3 who have received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday the 9th August at 9am.

St Vincent de Paul - PJ Day!
To continue our support for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal we invite our St Francis Xavier's School community to wear their PJ's to school on Friday and donate a gold coin.
Catholic School's Week
We had an incredibly special week in the Armidale Diocese as we celebrated Catholic Schools Week for 2026. A time when we pause to celebrate who we are, what we stand for, and the unique, faith-filled education we are blessed to share. Let us continue to build a future full of hope, right here in Narrabri.
When asked what they love about St Francis Xavier’s School the students proudly responded “coming to school and playing with my friends”, “seeing my teacher”, “the opportunities” as well as “all the kind people and good mates”. Mrs O’Connor said she loves “our caring Catholic community that always gives every student hope”.

As part of our Catholic Schools Week celebrations, all Year 6 students travelled to Moree to attend the Deanery Mass alongside students and staff from Catholic schools across the deanery. The celebration provided a wonderful opportunity for our students to come together in faith, prayer and community, strengthening their connection with the wider Catholic education family.
The Mass was a meaningful occasion that highlighted the importance of unity, service and living out the Gospel values in our daily lives. Our Year 6 students represented our school with pride, demonstrating reverence, respect and excellent behaviour throughout the day.
