Learning in Term 2 at St Francis Xavier's

Our leadership team is actively engaging in classrooms during guided reading sessions to provide direct support to both teachers and students. By increasing adult density during this critical literacy block, we ensure our students receive targeted attention during one of the most important parts of the school day.

To accurately track progress and compile reports, we have been gathering comprehensive data through standardised tests—including NAPLAN and PAT—alongside in-class assessments, student learning engagement, and ongoing teacher observations. This holistic approach ensures we have a clear picture of each child's academic journey. We also use this information to make learning more individualised, targeted, and responsive to the needs of our students. By carefully analysing student data, we tailor learning experiences to provide the right level of support, challenge, and extension for each student. This approach helps ensure that every student at St Francis Xavier's is given the opportunity to grow in confidence, achieve success, and thrive in their learning.

Parent Teacher Meetings

Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who have booked in for parent-teacher meetings. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to connect with our staff and actively participate in discussions regarding your child’s academic progress, learning goals, and overall wellbeing. These conversations are essential for building a strong partnership between home and school, ensuring that our students and families feel supported in every aspect of school life.

NAPLAN Results (Yr 3 & 5)

Please note that individual NAPLAN results will be distributed to parents early in Term 3. We appreciate your continued partnership in supporting our students' growth and success.
