Captain Corner Market Day Part 1

On Wednesday the 17th of June, the Year 6 students will be hosting an event called Market Day where they will showcase their Integrated Studies learning about Business and Economics. 

We have been buying, planning, and creating a small business which will sell a service or product. Some of the groups went out and asked for donations from companies such as K-MART, Woolworths, EB- Games and Toy World. Some groups were successful while some groups are still waiting for an email. 

Year 6’s have also been learning about taxation, resources (natural, human & capital), needs & wants and budgeting. We are marketing our product or service using posters and videos advertisements by including persuasive devices. Which we have learnt about in our writing lessons. We had to film the video on the I-pad, we edited and shortened the video on Canva so other classes could watch them. 

All Year 6’s are super excited for this event. We are allowing each student to bring ten dollars that they can exchange for tickets. Each ticket is worth $1 that can be used to buy things on Market Day. Please buy your tickets on Compass in the Canteen tab. We also invite parents and guardians to come to Market Day from 12:00-2.00pm. See you there!
