Junior School

你 好 (ni hao) Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 families,
In English, our Year 1 students have been busy planning, writing and presenting their own persuasive speeches on the topic “If I could have any superpower, it would be…” Students shared their creative ideas and gave reasons to explain why they would choose their particular superpower. They also explored different sentence types, including statements, questions and exclamations, to make their speeches more interesting and convincing.
The highlight was presenting their speeches to the class! Students focused on using their tone, volume and pace to speak clearly, keep their audience interested and make their ideas more persuasive. It was wonderful to see everyone sharing their ideas and building confidence as they spoke in front of their classmates. We were so impressed by their creativity and the effort they put into preparing and presenting their speeches!
Have a lovely weekend!
