Regional Tennis
SSV Regional Tennis
On Thursday 23rd April, we had 4 of our teams travel to the Traralgon Tennis Centre.
Our teams consisted of senior girls and boys and year 8 girls and boys.
Our students consistently played impressive tennis all day. There were lots of rallies and skilful shots played by each team. Each match was played with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
The teams achieved fantastic results at the end of the day. Our year 8 girls and boys as well as senior girls all came runners up. Our year 8 girls missed out on advancing through to the next round by 2 games and our year 8 boys missed out on a countback of games won for the day. Our senior boys came third overall.
Well done to everyone on such a successful day.
Girls AFL
On Tuesday 28th April, our Girls AFL teams took to the field for Division competition, representing MMCRC with pride and determination.
A huge congratulations to our Year 7/8 Girls AFL team on progressing to Regionals after an outstanding performance. The girls started strongly with some convincing early wins before finishing with a tight, tough, and hard-fought grand final victory. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the spirit they show when representing MMCRC.
Our Intermediate Girls AFL team also competed against Dudley and Foster in a challenging day of football. Despite coming up against strong opposition, the girls approached each game with determination and a positive attitude. It was fantastic to see the team continue to develop their skills, grow in confidence, and support one another both on and off the field. There were some excellent tackles and strong marks taken throughout the day, with their encouragement of teammates and positive team culture a real highlight.
Our Senior Girls AFL team also competed strongly, showing great intensity, resilience, and teamwork throughout the day. While they didn’t progress, they represented MMCRC with pride and gave it their all in every contest.
Overall, it was a fantastic day for Girls AFL at MMCRC, with all teams showcasing commitment, sportsmanship, and school pride.
