Do It For Dolly Day
Friday 8 May 2026
Do It For Dolly Day is a national day of action calling on Australians to Go Blue to End Bullying.
Now in its eighth year, the day honours the life of Amy “Dolly” Everett, who was just 14 years old when ongoing bullying and cyberbullying tragically led to her death in 2018. Dolly’s story is heartbreaking and, sadly, reflects the experiences of too many young people across Australia.
By taking part in Do It For Dolly Day—whether through fundraising, donating, or participating in school-based activities—our community joins a national movement supporting Dolly’s Dream, an organisation that provides education, support programs and resources for young people, families and schools so that no one has to face bullying alone.
Being Kind, Empathetic and Respectful
Do It For Dolly Day highlights the serious impact of bullying and reinforces the importance of kindness, empathy and respect. Bullying can take many forms, including verbal abuse, social exclusion and online harassment. Often, it involves repeated behaviour and an imbalance of power, and its effects can be significant, impacting confidence, sense of belonging and overall wellbeing.
Schools play a vital role in creating safe and inclusive environments where respectful relationships are modelled and every student feels supported. This day provides an opportunity for schools and families to come together with a shared commitment to kindness and care. By working in partnership, we can encourage young people to speak up, look out for one another, and ensure no one feels alone.
Our College Activities
To mark Do It For Dolly Day at Our College:
We encourage students and staff to wear blue on the day as a sign of solidarity and commitment to building a respectful, inclusive and caring school community.
Together, we can make a difference—today and every day.
