Kitchen

Wow — the weeks are flying by! We’re already halfway through Term 4 and the kitchen is full of Christmas cheer, delicious smells and lots of amazing cooking.
Christmas Cooking Has Begun!
We’ve started getting into the festive spirit with some early Christmas cooking. Our Grade 5s did an incredible job making traditional plum puddings and a beautiful tomato relish — the kitchen smelled absolutely amazing! Christmas time is by far my favourite time of the year and the students’ enthusiasm makes it even more special.
Grade 2 Students – Pinwheels & Pear Muffins
The Grade 2s have been busy making savory pinwheels and pear muffins. They learnt how to chop pears safely and measure ingredients carefully. There where lots of happy faces and tasty results — well done, Grade 2!
MasterChef Winners – Grade 6JS
A huge congratulations to our MasterChef Winner from 6JS:
Aarna, Nehansa, and Sienna!
They totally impressed the judges with high standard of their food.
It was an incredibly tight finish, with the team winning by just half a point!Their teamwork, presentation and delicious dishes truly stood out.
Well done to these talented young chefs — a fantastic effort and a well-deserved win!
Grade 6 Students – Final Kitchen Sessions
It’s a little bittersweet as our Grade 6s finish up their final sessions in the school kitchen.
They’ve been cooking up a storm, making:
HSPs (Halal Snack Packs)
Brownie ice cream sundaes
Sushi tacos
Cinnamon scrolls
Lemon slice, sausage rolls, spring rolls and rocky road
It’s been such a joy to watch them grow into confident, creative cooks. We’ll really miss having them in the kitchen next year!
Garden Update
The garden is looking beautiful — lush, green and full of life. Our herbs are thriving and the zucchini and pumpkin plants have just started to flower! It’s such an exciting time to watch everything grow and see the results of all our hard work.
