Principal Report

We are approaching the last few weeks of Term 4, which seems to have come around in a flash! 2025 has been another great year at Oatlands PS. An example of this was our Remembrance Day Ceremony on Wednesday 12th November. Our student leaders Airaa, Zayan, Kiyara, Levi, Isabel and Marlan did an outstanding job with their speeches. Our students’ good behaviour and level of respect during the ceremony was impeccable. Once again this year we received many positive comments on how respectful and well behaved our students were. Our school choir did a great job of singing the national anthems of Australia, Britain, New Zealand and the USA. Well done to Ms Morgan, Mrs White and Mr Kenny for their organisation of such a great event!
This week we had our Colour Run. The event was a great success. A huge thank you and well done to Sarah Higgins and our PFA helpers, Mr Tapscott and Mr Rosewall, along with all of the great support and participation from our school community.
This week our school participated in World Kindness Day. Kindness is one of our key values at Oatlands and is a key part of how we relate to others around our school. Showing kindness to others not only impacts their day in a positive way, but also makes us feel better. Acts of kindness such as a positive note, doing a job for someone that you don’t normally do or checking in on them are all ways to do a random act of kindness.
