Breakfast club dishes
Have you seen our new washing up system at breakfast club?
Hillsmeade continues to look for ways to reduce waste and the roll out of reusable cutlery and dishes at breakfast club has been well received.
Students are responsible for emptying their scraps, washing their cups and cutlery, rinsing the soap suds off and drying on the rack. Not only is this a great way to reduce waste but also to build student independence.
Next time you're at breakfast club on Monday, Wednesday or Friday check out our washing up station.
Zoos Victoria competition
6B, 6D and 6E have been busy working on creations to enter the Zoos Victoria elephant competition. To celebrate the arrival of the 9 Asian Elephants from Melbourne to Werribee the students came up with ways to represent the elephants in a creative way.
Ashton from 6D created 'Tinny the elephant' out of aluminium foil and cardboard rolls. Armen from 6E showed his talents in drawing and Evni, Nargis and Taniya from 6B worked on their own creative artworks.
As well as Emily and Alina's creative song parody and Ben M's elephant video which were featured in the Hillsmeade Happenings highlights during the week.
Well done to the students who submitted creations - an excellent display of creativity from our school.
