Leader of Year 12 Wellbeing

Mrs Michelle Aurelius

Swimming Carnival

Our St Aloysius College swimming carnival was a huge success and I would formally like to thank all our Year 12 students who attended for the outstanding way in which you led and participated. Your enthusiasm, house spirit and willingness to get involved set the tone for the entire day. Whether you were competing in events, cheering from the sideline or encouraging younger students to step outside their comfort zones, you demonstrated true leadership and pride in our College. Your participation reflects the maturity and unity of this cohort in your final year. I am incredibly proud of the energy, respect and school spirit you continue to model for others and you deserve to be congratulated.

Uniform reminders

I have spoken to our year 12 students a number of times about their uniform and grooming. Grooming is not simply about appearance, it reflects self-respect and sets the standard for the years below. Overall our students look fantastic, however there are just a few reminders below as a few issues seem to be creeping into the College of late. Any student who does not respect the College Uniform Policy will be issued a uniform concern.

  • Boys must be clean shaven every day otherwise they will be sent to the office to shave.
  • There is to be no upper lobe earrings and they can not be covered with a bandaid. Students who cannot take their piercings out will be sent home
  • Visible tattoos are not part of our school uniform and must be covered if they can be seen
  • School skirts must be knee length and not rolled up

Upcoming Assessment Block

Students will sit their 2nd HSC Assessment block at the start of Week 8. Students have been working very hard and many have been booking into extra English and Maths tutorials during sport time. This has been very beneficial and a huge success. It also shows that our Year 12’s are studious and keen to do well.

During exams our students' well-being is important and I am available anytime. Our school counsellor is onsite each day, except Thursday. Please feel free to contact us or have your son/daughter check in with me if they need help or feel overwhelmed.

Students must be in full school uniform when sitting their exams. I wish them all the best of luck.

Below is the link to their timetable.
