WPS Community Children’s Garden

Despite only one week of Garden Club this fortnight, we managed to fit in two activities. Firstly, students helped parent volunteers move the garden equipment from under the hall (now a fire safe place) to the shipping container near the netball courts. A shipping container is the perfect storage facility for gardening gear, but this one if far away from the garden and up a steep hill! We hope to obtain a similar storage facility much closer to the garden. This will save considerable time and effort lugging our equipment from one side of the school grounds to the other and back for each garden activity.

Following the equipment haul, we had a lot of fun harvesting carrots. There was plenty for everyone to take home and some of them were HUGE!
