STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS
Congratulations to the following students on excellent achievements!!
Our School Council has provided sponsorship to them to assist and support with costs.
- Krista Gadsden (Yr 9) – Three times Australian Karate Champion and has been selected onto the Australian National Karate team to represent Australia at the Commonwealth Championships in Dhaka Bangladeshi in September 2024
- Aspen Bosnjakovic, Elizabeth Jonah and Amelia Williams (Yr 10) have been selected to represent Victoria at the 2024 National School Futsal Championships in Brisbane in September 2024
- Silver Hecker (Yr 10) has been selected to play in the Victorian Lacrosse team (for the third year) at the U15 Boys & Girls National Tournament being held in Glenelg SA in September 2024
- Tamika Coogan (Yr 12) has been selected by Pony Club Victoria for the Prince Philip Victorian Senior National Mounted Games Team attending the National Championships being held in Victoria in October 2024
HINDI DIWAS (DAY)
WCC’s Hindi Beacon School was invited to celebrate Hindi Diwas (Day) at the Indian Consulate of Melbourne.
Hindi Poetry and Essay competition along with other cultural performances from students were held at the Consulate on the day.
We are pleased to announce that our students Udisha Goyal (9C) and Gaurika Gupta (8C) received participation prizes offered by the Honourable Consular of India during the event.
We ask our Hindi speaking families to encourage their children to participate in these related activities to build up their knowledge and skills in Hindi and stay connected with their culture.
WCC is offering Hindi language, and the program is based on engaging curriculum, interactive learning in a well-equipped supportive learning environment.
Enrolments for our Hindi program 2025 are now open.
