PE & Sport

We've had a big start to the term in PE & Sport, with some exciting achievements as and fantastic things happening in classes.

• Congratulations to Archie Didomenico for being selected in the School Sport Victoria AFL side - a massive achievement, we wish him all the best!
• Well done to students who have qualified for the Division Athletics team. We've got a large squad of 19 students heading to Landy Field on September 9th and hope they have a great time competing.
• Year 3-6 students have been fortunate to have YMCA Gymnastics coaches teaching them in PE so far this term, the 4 week program has been a huge hit! We are very lucky to be able to access these experienced coaches. 
• Good luck to the students who are headed off to SSA Basketball on Friday 15th August. We have 4 full teams, who have been training in 3-6 sport time and are raring to go! 
• Year 1-2 families please stay tuned for upcoming details, via Compass, for 1-2 Swimming. This program is in early Term 4, October 27-31st, however communication will begin early for this to allow for planning and support as needed. 
• Finally we are super lucky to have a strong relationship with the Geelong Cats and AFL Barwon. We have a couple of things to look forward to here:
  • You may have seen after school on Thursday the AFL Barwon sign up sheet, for AFL Auskick and Superkick clinics running after school from August 14th. Please see the attached flyer for details.
  • We are excited to announce that Tuesday 12th August is Footy Colours day! And three surprise Geelong Cats players will be heading out to Moriac PS, between 2:30-3:30pm for a clinic and Q&A.
