Welcome back! 

100 days of Prep 

We had such a fun day celebrating 100 Days of Prep!

We made lots of cool creations and reminisced over all the things we have learnt this year. Which we realised is so much, and we still have so much more to learn! 

We enjoyed dressing up like grandmas and grandpas and putting on voices throughout the day! Check out the photos below!

Literacy 

In Literacy, we have been learning about narratives. We began by reading different fairy tales and placing these onto our story mountain. A story mountain has each part of a narrative - characters, setting, problem, feeling and solution. 

We explored narratives as a class, including a story called 'Betty's Big Clean Up' and 'Jim's Aeroplane.' Students were able to reorganise the story, write the story and change parts of the story to create their own versions of the story. 

Maths 

In Maths, we have been learning all about teen numbers. We have been practising counting forwards, backwards and representing numbers. We explored how there are lots of different ways to show numbers, focusing on tens frames to show that 14 is one ten and four ones. Our favourite game to play was the Pizza Party game below. 

Wellbeing 

In Wellbeing, we were practising teamwork and exploring how our bodies change and grow over time. 

Humanities 

We have been celebrating NAIDOC week. We explored the land and ways we can look after the land. Students enjoyed a Nature Walk where we collected items and created our very own pictures.
