Term 3 brings many exciting opportunities to support the wellbeing and personal growth of our students at St Patrick's College.
One of the highlights this term is our Live4Life Program, which equips students with valuable Youth Mental Health First Aid skills. Through this initiative, students learn how to recognise when a friend may be struggling and how to provide appropriate support and encouragement to seek help when needed.
Our Middle School students are also continuing their work with The Resilience Project, developing practical strategies that promote positive mental health and wellbeing. We encourage parents and families to engage with the program and join us in reinforcing these important messages at home.
We are also looking forward to the upcoming Mother and Son Evening, which provides a wonderful opportunity for students and the significant female figures in their lives to spend quality time together, strengthen connections, and create meaningful shared experiences.
The Inspire Family Hub has been designed to help families stay connected and engaged with The Resilience Project. Through the Family Hub, parents and caregivers can access:
Information about the key wellbeing principles of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness, and Emotional Literacy (GEME), along with the benefits of regularly practising these skills.
Families can access the Family Hub by visiting: The Resilience Project Family Hub

As parents, we all want to help our sons navigate the online world safely and confidently. The Australian Government's eSafety Commissioner offers a range of free online webinars designed to give parents practical strategies, current information and expert advice on the challenges young people face online. These sessions provide valuable insights into topics such as screen time, cyberbullying, online manipulation, harmful online content, artificial intelligence (AI), and the online experiences of boys and young men.
Particularly relevant for families at St Patrick's College are webinars exploring the online experiences of boys and young men, how algorithms and influencers can shape beliefs and behaviours, and practical ways to support healthy screen habits at home. Parents will gain useful tools to start important conversations, set boundaries, recognise online risks, and help their sons develop positive digital habits.
We encourage all parents and carers to take advantage of these free learning opportunities to build their confidence in supporting their son's digital wellbeing.
To view upcoming webinars and register, visit the eSafety Commissioner website: Webinars for Parents and Carers.
These live webinars give parents and carers the knowledge, skills and tools to support their children to have safer online experiences.
