Music Workshop

On Sunday, 26 July, our Music Ensemble students participated in an Intensive Workshop in preparation for our upcoming Term 3 performances. It was a highly productive day, with students working diligently through repertoire and refining their ensemble skills. The workshop also included a fun trivia session hosted by our Music Captains Kayden Lin and Finn Curran. 

This provided an opportunity for students to relax, connect with one another, and enjoy some friendly competition over a slice of pizza. We are proud of the students’ commitment and look forward to showcasing their hard work at our performances throughout the term including: SPC in concert on Wednesday, 26 August, the Royal South Street Competitions, the Victorian Schools Music Festival and the Performing Arts Showcase on Tuesday, 8 September. 

Grease

Grease rehearsals are continuing with Act 1 nearly finished. Students are busy working on scenes and bringing to life this most beloved story. Thank you to Clarendon College, Damascus College and Loreto College for joining our community in this fantastic show which will take us back to the ‘rock ‘n roll’ era. 

ACU Debating Challenge Cup

We have upcoming the ACU Debating Challenge Cup which is part of the Royal South Street society in August.  This year, St Patrick’s College is excited to enter a Years 7 & 8 team, a Years 9 &10 team as well as a Years 11&12 team.  Students will be debating a range of topics from environmental issues and sport to subjects around equality in society.   We wish all students taking part in the competition our best wishes.
