Visual Communication & Design

"The Melbourne Museum excursion was definitely one of my favourite school excursions so far. Visiting the Top Designs 2026 exhibition was a great opportunity to see the incredible work that students from across Victoria had created and developed throughout their VCE studies. I found it especially interesting because I could relate to many of the folios and design processes, as we are currently working through similar structures in our own Visual Communication Design unit. Seeing how students communicated their ideas through professional presentations, creative ideation and strong use of design elements and principles gave me plenty of inspiration for my future work.
Beyond the exhibition, I also enjoyed exploring the museum itself. The exhibits were impressive, particularly the dinosaur gallery, which featured some of the most complete skeleton specimens. There were also many interactive displays and engaging spaces that made the experience both educational and enjoyable. Overall, the excursion helped me develop a greater understanding of good design while providing valuable inspiration for future folio and SAT work."
