𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐔𝐍

A handful of our CSC students attended Model UN at Mentone Grammar last Friday, representing the great country of Denmark!

Model UN mimicked an actual UN conference where students debated with other 'countries' (schools) on the topic of conflict, war and global security. Students submitted new and modified draft resolutions, which were finalised through democratic voting.

𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟏𝟐 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

On Friday 8th May, students attended the Road to Zero Immersion program held at the Melbourne Museum.

They participated in three workshops where Road Safety Health promotion was directly linked to current and upcoming topics in HHD, including The Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion and The Sustainable Development Goals. The program finished with an exam preparation session where an experienced VCAA examiner provided useful insights and tips for relevant exam questions.

Not only was this excursion helpful with their HHD studies, but also increased road safety awareness for our Year 12 students driving on their Ls and some now independently driving on their Ps.

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

With VCE on the horizon for our Year 9 and 10 students, there's plenty of questions to be had around which subjects and pathways to take.

Our VCE students and teachers set up the Subject Expo in our library last week ready with all the information they needed to make informed decisions for their futures.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟏𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

As part of our Business Management curriculum, our Year 10 students get to run their own food stalls during lunchtime, balancing supply and demand, food handling and currency.

Many of the stalls completely sold out of food. Well done to our Year 10s for organising and toughing it out in the cold weather!
