House Cross Country
The annual Junior School House Cross Country was held in beautiful conditions, creating a fantastic atmosphere for students, staff, and families alike. Students from all year levels demonstrated outstanding effort, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day, with an exceptionally high standard of competition across the entire event.
Races were fiercely contested from start to finish, with every place and point proving important in the overall House standings. The excitement continued right through to the final events of the day, with the overall result not decided until the last two races.
Congratulations to Gibeon Warriors (Red House), who were crowned the 2026 Junior School House Cross Country Champions. Zion Crusaders (Blue House) finished in a very close second place, while Tabor Trojans (White House) placed third after a strong showing across the carnival.
The event was a wonderful display of perseverance, teamwork, and House spirit, with students encouraging one another and striving to achieve their personal best.
Congratulations to all students who participated and contributed to such a successful and enjoyable day.
SSV State Swimming Championships
Oxley Christian College proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of our students at the SSV (School Sport Victoria) State Swimming Championships. Competing against the best swimmers from across Victoria, our students demonstrated incredible skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition pathway from Division, to Regional, and ultimately State level.
A highlight of the event was the incredible performance of the 11 Boys Freestyle Relay team consisting of Bruce Z (5W), Ayan G (5M), Jacob H (3D), and Hanson L (5W), who were crowned State Champions after an exceptional swim in a time of 2:13. In a dominant performance, the team finished an incredible 7 seconds ahead of the next team, showcasing both their talent and teamwork on the biggest stage.
Bruce Z also achieved remarkable individual success, winning the 11 Boys 50m Breaststroke State Championship for the second consecutive year. Adding to an already impressive day in the pool, Bruce also placed 3rd in the Backstroke event, further highlighting his versatility and commitment to excellence.
These results are a huge achievement and a reflection of the hard work and dedication shown by the students throughout the swimming season. Reaching the state level requires success through multiple stages of competition, and Oxley would like to acknowledge and congratulate all students who represented the College during the Division, Regional, and State Swimming Championships. Every student who competed contributed to the success of the program and represented Oxley with pride, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship.
Congratulations to all involved on an exceptional swimming campaign and an incredible achievement for Oxley Christian College.
