"Not Even Once" Seminar

 A Valuable Learning Experience

On Tuesday 19 May, our College had the privilege of welcoming Tanya Cavanagh from Teen Challenge to deliver the “Not Even Once” Seminar to students.

Drawing on her extensive frontline experience, Tanya presented a powerful combination of scientific insight and real-world stories. Students gained a clear understanding of the impact of alcohol, vaping, and drug use on the developing brain, as well as the importance of making wise, informed decisions.

Students in Years 5 and 6 attended an engaging session in the BPAC, which included a highly interactive presentation and a valuable Q&A time, allowing students to ask thoughtful questions and deepen their understanding. Our Secondary School students participated during their Chapel time, where they were equally attentive and responsive.

The sessions were both informative and engaging, equipping students with practical strategies to make healthy choices and reinforcing the importance of positive influences, strong relationships, and a sense of belonging.

We are grateful for the meaningful impact of this seminar and encourage families to continue these important conversations at home.
