Mind 2 Machine - Phase 2

Awesome initiative! 

On Thursday, Team Adamatic from Cecil Hills HS, as well as teams from EPP Campbelltown, Liverpool and Parramatta North, took part in the second phase of the Mind 2 Machine Advanced Manufacturing initiative. Building on their learnings from Phase 1, students used an online CAD software to design a pawn chess piece, then had it manufactured on the lathe (see below), laser engraved with the AMRF logo, and they conducted quality testing through microscopy. Amazing to see the manufacturing process come to life in a really engaging way. 

Big thank you to the AMRF team who designed the activities and to our industry guests for supporting. Big shout out Rhonda Stone and Felicity Zahra from RIEP for engaging industry and to HTCs Joyce, Kate and Angie for their collaboration and leadership of the initiative. The students want a Phase 3!
