Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

The Duke of Edinburgh (DOE) Award Scheme is a program that provides young people aged 14 or older (Years 9 to 12) to experience “…individual challenges, team work and fun”. The Award is designed to be flexible, voluntary and allow participants to explore areas of personal interest.

To achieve the Award, participants must achieve certain challenges at varying degrees of difficulty. These challenges fall into a 3-tiered framework—Bronze, Silver and Gold Award, with each occurring over a set period. Within each tier, the participant must complete challenges in various areas including:

  • Physical recreation

  • Skills

  • Voluntary Service

  • Adventurous journey

Our program started in Term 1, and we are looking to fill some more places before organising camps. hikes, physical activities, skill sessions and voluntary service connections.
