Push Up Challenge

Throughout June, students and staff at BHS have been taking part in The Push-Up Challenge — a national initiative raising awareness and funds for mental health. Each day, participants completed a set number of push-ups, with a goal of reaching 3,249 across the month — representing the number of lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2022.

It’s been an incredible effort by our school community, with participants pushing themselves physically and showing strong support for mental wellbeing. Whether students completed 10 push-ups or 100, every effort contributed to the bigger picture of promoting mental health awareness and starting important conversations.

Over the last month, the BHS community has raised just over $4000 with so many legends across all houses and all year levels joining in and completing their pushups.

It has been a huge month, with some very sore arms now, but we are incredibly proud of everyone and their efforts to push for better mental health.
