Book of the Week
Six of Sorrow
by Amanda Linsmeier
After celebrating their sixteenth birthday one night, Isabeau’s best friend, Reuel, vanishes without a trace. Her disappearance prompts Isabeau to reunite with her former friends – who also share the same birthday. When another of the girls vanishes, it seems clear that something is coming for all of them – does it have something to do with why all six of them share the same birthday? Or does it have something to do with the town’s local legend, the witch called Sorrow?
As Isabeau and her friends dig deeper into the mystery, family secrets begin to emerge, and it seems that all their parents have something to hide. Six of Sorrow is a short and sweet mystery that covers lots of different elements, such as friendship, forgiveness, ghosts, romance, LGBT characters, and family secrets. This is quite a fun, spooky read with an exciting ending that anyone can enjoy!
