Chess Victoria Zonal Tournament

Congratulations, Cheltenham chess champions! On September 2nd, our students didn't just play at Camberwell Grammar; they owned the board with exemplary behaviour, incredible camaraderie and a fiery competitive spirit. You made Cheltenham Secondary College proud!

It was fantastic to see you connect with students from other schools, sharing a love for the game and creating a true sense of community. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, a reminder that you needed to be alert to every move and every moment to stay in the game.

It was also inspiring to see so many female players competing, and we're looking forward to having our own Chelt.Sec girls attend the next tournament.

While we celebrate your great performances, the strategic journey continues. Let's use the time before the 2026 tournaments to sharpen our attack, solidify our defence, and master our game-winning strategy.
