CSC/Le Page Primary School Mentorship Music Program Continues in Term 4!

At the beginning of Term 2 of this year, Cheltenham Secondary College partnered with Le Page Primary School to deliver a Music Mentorship Program. Met with great enthusiasm and success from students, the program has continued through into Term 4.

The program connects CSC music students with students from Le Page Primary to provide hands-on mentoring and instrumental exploration across brass, woodwind, percussion, piano and keyboard. With the encouragement and support from CSC's music staff, the initiative has helped introduce younger students to new musical experiences that build their confidence through the gift of collaboration and performance. Our staff are providing quality guidance for students throughout these sessions to create inclusive, nurturing environments.

Staff and students from both schools have expressed how valuable the experience has been, particularly in giving their students access to instruments and mentoring that would otherwise be unavailable in regular programs. The initiative highlights CSC's leadership and investment in arts education, its commitment to community connection, and its dedication to the successes of the next generation of musicians in the Bayside area.

With this success, the schools are planning for the program to culminate in a joint concert, where families from both CSC and Le Page can come together to celebrate student achievements and musical growth.
