Our class have begun investigating our own history.  We have been sharing stories from our birth, how our names were chosen, memorable moments, and our family's past. We have shared many fascinating artefacts to help us remember our past: photos and videos, favourite toys and even some precious heirlooms. Thank you, parents, for all your contributions to this research. Oh, those baby photos!!!! Cuteness overload!

Our photos show just some of our family treasures, but there were so many more - baptism dresses from great grandmothers, vintage teapots and handmade blankets!

ANZAC Day gave us another opportunity to delve deeper into the past and examine historical events that affect our families and communities.

Next, we will go even further back in time to inquire into the ancient worlds of Rome and Greece! Again, we will use stories, artefacts, buildings and images to learn what it was like to live in the ancient past.
