Careers Expo Excursion

Students from across the school recently attended a careers excursion at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre, where they had the opportunity to explore a wide range of career pathways and training options.
The afternoon began with a short presentation introducing students to the purpose of the careers expo and how to make the most of the event. Students were encouraged to speak with exhibitors, ask questions and gather information about different study and career opportunities.
Following the presentation, students moved around the expo speaking with representatives from a variety of organisations and education providers. Exhibitors included universities such as Victoria University, RMIT University and Torrens University Australia, as well as training organisations like Melbourne Polytechnic and Belgravia Academy.
Students also learned about innovative programs at Whittlesea Tech School and spoke with employers such as McDonald's and representatives from the City of Whittlesea about potential jobs and career pathways in the local community.
Throughout the expo, students asked questions about apprenticeships, traineeships, certificates, diplomas and university degrees, helping them better understand the different pathways available after school.
The excursion provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore future career options, connect with industry professionals and begin thinking about their goals beyond school.
