Bunnings

On Friday, 6th March 2026, students from the orange class proudly represented Plenty River College at the sizzling Bunnings Mernda Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser. Guided by dedicated staff, the students jumped straight into action, taking part in every aspect of the event, from setting up the barbeque supplies and serving customers to managing sales and keeping the area tidy. 

The day was not only a fundraising success but also a valuable hands-on learning experience. Students had the opportunity to develop essential work-related skills such as teamwork, communication, and customer service while engaging meaningfully with the local community. Their enthusiasm and commitment reflected the College’s core values of cooperation, responsibility, and community involvement. 

The event raised important funds to support future learning initiatives while fostering confidence and a sense of pride among the participating students. It was truly a day to remember — filled with teamwork, laughter, and the unmistakable aroma of freshly grilled sausages!
