Junior Sport

As we approach the end of Semester 1, we reflect on a semester filled with personal bests and achievements across various events. It began with swimming lessons for Years 3-6 students, followed by spirited House competitions in Athletics, Swimming, and Cross Country, all occurring in quick succession. Oxley students excelled in Swimming and Cross Country, with many representing the College at District and Regional levels.

The 5/6 Interschool Sports for both summer and winter seasons have also concluded. Students enthusiastically participated in T-Ball, Basketball, Tennis Hotshots, Cricket, Rugby Tag, Netball, Volleyball, Football, and Soccer over six weeks. Congratulations to the Tennis Hotshots and Open Basketball teams, who will advance to a Division Gala Day later in Semester 2.

Looking ahead to Semester 2, we anticipate a series of exciting events. Final qualification trials for hurdles and high jump have been completed in preparation for the District Athletics competition. The team selection will be announced early in Term 3. Additionally, the House Basketball competition for Years 3-6 will take place on the last day of Term 3. Other upcoming events include Swimming Lessons and Athletics Day for Prep–Year 2, the Mooroolbark Community Sports Day, and Tabloid Sports.

Enjoy your holiday break, stay active, and let's prepare for a dynamic Semester 2 of sports!
