Founder's Day

Thank you to all our year 12’s who attended our Founder's Day. It was a huge success and I can't thank you all enough for your enthusiasm and participation. I hope you all had a fantastic day. A very special mention to our amazing leaders. Your dedication to make this day special doesn’t go unnoticed. From running the Liturgy to hosting our very first St Aloysius Talent Show was outstanding. We are very lucky to have such wonderful young men and women leading our College.       

Uniform

There still seems to be a few students who are not wearing their long-sleeved shirts. This is part of our College winter uniform and therefore needs to be worn under the blazer. Some other important reminders regarding uniform:

• SHIRTS: Must be tucked in and long sleeve for both girls and boys
• BLAZERS: must be worn to and from school each day
• JERSEYS: are only to be worn on Thursday and Friday
• PIERCINGS: there are to be NO upper lobe earrings, any student who refuses to take their piercing out will be sent home and cannot return to school until it is removed

Important Dates for Term 2

Athletics Carnival: Wk 5 - Friday, 22 May

Exam Block: Wk 8 - Thursday, 11 June - Wk 9 Wednesday, 17 June

There are also important dates out now for year 12 and their “Pathway to University”. There are two ways of entering university:

1. Early Admission - based on Year 11 Semester 2 report + personal statement

UOW - opens 15 June (closes 7 Aug)

ACU Guarantee - 20 July (17 August)

University Notre Dame - opens 1 May

UWS True Rewards - 8 April (closes 2 Sept)

2. Unconditional offers released from 1st September

Students received all the information from Mrs Kennedy on Tuesday during our Pastoral lesson. It is important for those who were not present to meet with Mrs Kennedy to go through the details.
