Assistant Principal Mission

Our College community gathered last week for a vibrant and joy‑filled Founder’s Day, a celebration that truly reflected the heart of our Lasallian identity. The day was marked by great spirit, energy, and a strong sense of belonging as students and staff came together to honour the life and mission of St John Baptist de La Salle.
We were privileged to welcome Brother Peter Bray, Brother Visitor for Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Papua New Guinea, who shared a powerful reflection with our students. He challenged them to pause and consider the kind of people they hope to become, and the positive roles they will contribute to society. His message was simple yet profound:
“Do what you can, where you are, with what you have.”
It is in these ordinary, everyday choices, he reminded us, that we make a real impact living with purpose, integrity, and compassion.
The day began with a beautiful liturgy that called us to remember the gifts of who we are as a Lasallian community and our shared mission to “go and make a difference.” We reflected on the legacy of St John Baptist de La Salle, a visionary who believed that education could transform lives.
He saw dignity in every young person.
He formed communities of teachers who supported one another.
He taught us that God is found in the ordinary moments of every school day.
As part of this living story, St Aloysius College continues to embrace the Lasallian mission:
to help our young people live with courage,
to act with kindness,
and to serve with open hearts.
May we continue to be people of faith, builders of community, and bringers of hope, today and every day.

St Al's Talent Show
The inaugural St Aloysius Talent Show was an extraordinary success, showcasing the phenomenal gifts and creativity of our students. What made the afternoon truly memorable, was the unmistakable Lasallian spirit that filled the hall. Students cheered for every act, celebrated each performer, and demonstrated deep respect and encouragement throughout the entire show. Their enthusiasm reflected the heart of what it means to be a Lasallian community, inclusive, supportive, and united.

This Mother’s Day offers our community a special opportunity to honour the women who shape our lives with strength, compassion, and unwavering love. We warmly invited all mothers, grandmothers, carers, and the significant women who walk alongside our students to come together in prayer and gratitude.
This celebration was a moment to pause, reflect, and acknowledge the extraordinary gift these women bring to each home and to our wider school community. It was also a time to remember and give thanks for the amazing women, past and present, who have guided, inspired, and supported us.
We gathered as a community to celebrate, to pray, and to recognise the profound impact of the women who have nurtured, and continue to nurture us into the people we are becoming.

The Year 8 Reflection day invites students to reflect, and grow. The program focuses on building resilience and fostering healthy relationships through intentional listening, respectful sharing, and active participation in team‑building activities.
Students will explore what it means to respond to challenges with courage and optimism, and how strong relationships are formed through empathy, trust, and positive communication. Throughout the day, they will engage in structured activities that encourage collaboration, problem solving, and mutual support.
By listening to one another’s experiences, sharing their own insights, and working together in small groups, students will deepen their understanding of themselves and their peers. The day aims to strengthen the Year 8 cohort’s sense of belonging and equip students with practical strategies for navigating friendships, setbacks, and the everyday pressures of adolescence.
The students will participate in ‘The Make Bullying History Program’, an opportunity for students to help reduce the rate of bullying incidents in school so all students feel safe.
