CONFIRMATION
Congratulations are extended to our students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday at St Helena of the Holy Cross Parish during the 11.30am and 3.00pm Masses.
This special occasion was a beautiful celebration of faith as our students received the gifts of the Holy Spirit and strengthened their commitment to living as followers of Christ.
Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, they were sealed with the Holy Spirit and blessed with the gifts of wisdom, understanding, right judgement, courage, knowledge, reverence, and wonder and awe in God's presence. These gifts will guide them as they continue to grow in faith and serve others with love and compassion.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Father Bona for conferring the sacrament and for his ongoing support of our faith community. We also thank our Sacramental Coordinator, Hannah Wager, and classroom teachers, Lauren Thompson and Kaylene Bederson, for their dedication in preparing our students so thoughtfully for this important milestone.
A heartfelt thank you is also extended to our families. Your encouragement, support, and commitment to nurturing your children's faith play a vital role in their sacramental journey.
On Monday, the students came together as a year level to celebrate and reflect on this special step in their faith journey.
It was truly a beautiful time of faith, reverence and celebration. We pray that our newly confirmed students continue to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit as they grow in faith, hope and love, and that they use the gifts they have received to make a positive difference in their school, parish and wider community. We hope that our students continue to find inspiration in their confirmation Saint as they grow in faith and discipleship.
Please keep these students in your prayers.
Loving God,
We thank You for the students who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them and fill their hearts with Your love and grace.
May the gifts of wisdom, understanding, courage, knowledge, reverence, right judgement, and wonder and awe guide them each day.
Help them to be faithful disciples of Jesus, showing kindness, compassion, and courage in all, they do.
Bless their families, teachers, and all who have supported them on their faith journey.
May they continue to grow in faith and become shining examples of Your love in our school, parish, and community.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
