From the Principal's Desk...

Dear Parents and Caregivers
End of a Great Term @ St Helena's
We come to the end of a very busy term, action packed with teaching and learning and various extra curricular activities and whole school events. There is so much to be grateful for at St Helena's Catholic Primary School and what our students have the opportunity to be involved in.
I would like to acknowledge our student's achievements in all aspects of school life this term and thank them for their efforts and perseverance. We always simply ask all our students to do their best, and continue to strive for personal excellence, having fun along the way, on their learning journey. Thank you to our parents and caregivers who supported us in different ways this term at St Helena's as well.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing staff for their continued commitment and efforts once again this term. Our staff work extremely hard, and I know that our parents and caregivers are very appreciative of the staff's commitment and efforts. Always for the betterment of our students! Thank you for your contribution to our staff team in what has been a busy term with teaching and learning and extra-curricular events!
Jumps & Throws and Athletics Carnival
We had an amazing Athletics Carnival last Thursday. All our students were fantastic and had a real go at all events. The sportsmanship was sensational! Thank you to Mr Mark McCormack, for his planning and coordinating of the Athletics Carnival and Jumps and Throws Day, earlier in the week. Thank you too, Miss Myles, for her support of and planning with Mark, and to all our staff who helped set up in the morning and pack up in the afternoon, as well as assist throughout the carnival days. Very much appreciated!
It was great to see a big crowd cheering on our students and Factions on the day. Thanks to the parents/caregivers who assisted at the Jumps and Throws Day and at the Athletics Carnival, much appreciated!. Thanks to the P&F for the purchase of the Zooper Doopers at lunch time that everyone enjoyed too!
Our Kindy Carnival was also spectacular! Thank you to the Kindy Staff for coordinating the afternoon. It was clear our students had a great time, and our parents/caregivers loved watching the up-and-coming stars on the track have a go!
Italian Week
Grazie Signora McCulloch for all that you do in the Languages Learning Are with Italian. This week we celebrated Italian Week with a very entertaining assembly on Monday and activities before school and at lunch times for our students to all get involved in. Weren't our pasta sculptures on dispaly in our Library sensational! Bravo to all our students who performed at assembly and created a work of art for the Pasta Sculpture competition. Auguri a tutti!
Principal for the Day
It has been wonderful catching up with students over the last couple of terms that have been chosen by their teachers for displaying the St Helena's school values and abiding by the Student Code of Conduct exceptionally and consistently. They get to come in and provide me with some feedback about all things St Helena's and pretend that they were Principal for the Day.
Farewell & Thanks
Wishing Angela Jang (Education Assistant), Rose Carter (Year 1 Kangaroos Teacher) and Kiah Michaelson (Learning Diversity Education Assistant) all the best for the future as we farewell them at the end of Term 3. Thank you for your contribution to St Helena's Catholic Primary School in your time with us.
Happy Holidays!
The final day of Term 3 for students and staff is tomorrow, Thursday 24 September. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday, a time to spend with family and friends and recharge, ready for Term 4.
Go Freo!
