Pre-Primary Excursion

On Monday we visited the Constable Care Safety School in Maylands. We learnt about how to be safe on our roads as both riders and pedestrians. We were able to ride bikes and practise these skills around a mini community that even had a bus and a train.
We collected stamps on a passport each time we completed a skill like stopping at a stop sign, following the traffic light signals and crossing a pedestrian crossing safely.
We learnt about the importance of wearing a helmet and always checking our bikes before we go riding to ensure they are safe. We were also reminded about the importance of wearing a seat belt and how we need to sit in a booster sit until we are tall enough for the seatbelt to go across out chest and not our necks.
We learnt so much on our excursion and had a fantastically fun time. We are also very grateful for our amazing parent helpers who came along to help.
