Magistrates' Court Excursion

The 2 Year 11 VCE Legal Studies classes attended the Melbourne Magistrates' Court of Victoria on 27/8/2026.

My experience during the Year 11 Legal excursion was absolutely amazing!! Cameron and Nina took very good care of the group and swiftly got us into the Court.

From there on, we were able to explore any courtrooms on level three. My peers and I were very diverse and witnessed many cases involving a wide range of issues. Sometimes, when the courtroom was empty, the judges and solicitors would engage in conversation with us.

Personally, I was intrigued by a case that involved applying for his licence back after 15 years.

Overall, it was a fun excursion that really helped us see court more clearly and assisted with understanding the Jury's role in a court case.
