International Students

Welcome to Our New International Students!

At the beginning of term 1, we are thrilled to see the arrival of more than 20 new international students joining Macleod College from all corners of the globe! They flew in from China, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and Germany to begin this new chapter of their lives here. While the majority of the new students are with us in our Intensive English Language Centre in semester 1, some of the students arrived ready to study in our mainstream classes, bringing fresh perspectives and                                                enriching our school community. 

At the recent whole school assembly, our International Student Captains, Karish Pragash and Hannah Nguyen, addressed the whole school briefly to give the new international students a warm welcome. They shared a heartfelt message of welcome, highlighting the importance of diversity, inclusion, and the unique contributions international students bring to our college. Their words resonated with the entire school, reminding us all of the value of embracing different cultures and fostering a sense of belonging for everyone.

To our new international students: we are so excited to have you here! Whether you are settling into the Language Centre or joining mainstream classes, we hope you feel at home at Macleod College. Our doors are always open, and we encourage you to get involved in school activities, make new friends, and share your stories with us.

To the rest of the school: let’s continue to support our new arrivals as they adjust to life at Macleod College. A warm smile, a friendly hello, or even a simple conversation can make a world of difference. Together, we can create an environment where everyone feels valued and included.
