Notice of Election and Call for Nominations – Parent & DOE Employees
An election is being conducted for members of the School Council of Macleod College.
Nominations opened on Tuesday February 18th 2025 and must be lodged by 4.00pm on Tuesday March 4th 2025. Forms are available at Reception.
Following the closing of nominations a list of the nominations received will be posted at the school on Tuesday March 4th 2025.
If there are more nominations than positions there will be an election with the following timeline:-
| On or before Friday March 7th 2025 | Distribution of ballot papers completed |
| Monday March 24th 2025 | Close of ballot at 4pm |
| Tuesday March 25th 2025 | Count votes and declare the poll |
| Wednesday March 26th 2025 | New Council meets 6.15pm |
The terms of office, membership categories and number of positions in each membership category open for election are as follows –

Parent member (2 year term) | From Tuesday March 25th 2025 to and inclusive of the date of the declaration of the poll in 2027.

Parent member (1 year term) | From Tuesday March 25th 2025 to and inclusive of the date of the declaration of the poll in 2026.

| DOE employee member (2 year term) | From Tuesday March 25th 2025 to and inclusive of the date of the declaration of the poll in 2027.

If the number of nominations is less than the number of vacancies, a notice to that effect and calling for further nominations will be posted in a prominent position at the school.
