Middle School

What a start to the year it has been!

Year 7’s

The year 7 students have made an excellent start to their secondary school education! They have participated in a wide range of activities from scavenger hunts & art classes to organisation & wellbeing sessions. The change of moving throughout the school is always a challenge, but the year 7’s have taken it in their stride.

The Macleod College Year 7 community had an opportunity to meet and greet over a BBQ on the 5th February which was a great opportunity for parents & carers to meet some of the people teaching their children as well as a chance for the Year 7’s to show off their classroom spaces and their ability to open those tricky combination locks! The Year 7’s have been getting started in their classes, in particular learning how to use a Bunsen Burner!

Looking forward now to the Year 7 camp that is coming up quickly! The Year 7’s will head up to Briars Camp in Mount Martha from 5th - 7th March. There will be an information evening for Year 7 students and parents & carers online on February 24th from 7pm.

General Reminders for Middle School

All students in middle school have made a positive start to the year.

A few reminders for this year are:

  • Students must now wear summer uniform in Terms 1 & 4 and winter uniform in Terms 2 & 3.

  • The PE uniform is now solely the red uniform. We know that there is a shortage of the red uniform at the uniform shop, so this will hopefully be restocked soon!

  • Students must have their planner with them at all times as this is their passport around the school, and they must have it with them if they need to leave the classroom

  • Students must come get a uniform pass if they are out of uniform on any given day

  • If students arrive late/need to leave early, students must sign out at Reception.
