Trivia tickets on sale tomorrow (Friday) at 11am. Get your teams ready!

As this is one of our last fundraising events of the year it’s the final opportunity to reach our $30,000 fundraising goal for 2026. To bridge that gap, we need to bring home around $15,000 and what better way to do that than with some trivia, delicious food and a whole lot of fun.

Funds raised from this event will be contributing to the re-surfacing of the basketball court and an upgrade to the basketball rings that is long overdue. Initiatives like this are what the PA have been working towards all year to improve the environment that our little legends learn and grow in.

This year we also have concession prices available for those with a valid concession card. Concession prices are only valid for those listed on the concession card which will be validated by the school.

A reminder that tickets are available for sale in groups of 10 (1 table) or as single tickets/smaller groups.

*How to Book a Table (10 People)*

Step 1: Gather your team of 10 (including names and dietary requirements) and nominate a team captain.

Step 2: The captain reserves your team’s TEN individual tickets via Compasstix. Team captains will need the names and dietary requirements for all team members. They will also need to know if anyone is a concession card holder or if they are a member of the band/DJ.

Step 3: Keep an eye out for an event payment email through regular Compass for the group's tickets. This must be paid within three days of notification to confirm your tickets. If unpaid, the tickets will be offered to the next group on the waitlist.

*How to Book Individual Tickets or Smaller Groups*Step 1: Gather your smaller team (including names and dietary requirements) and nominate a person to purchase the group's tickets.

Step 2: The purchaser reserves your team’s individual tickets via Compasstix. (Please reserve your tickets together in one transaction as we can't guarantee that separate transactions will be grouped together.) Purchasers will need the names and dietary requirements for all team members. They will also need to know if anyone is a concession card holder or if they are a member of the band/DJ. 

Step 3: Keep an eye out for an event payment email through regular Compass for the group's tickets. This must be paid within three days of notification to confirm your tickets. If unpaid, the tickets will be offered to the next group on the waitlist.

(Note: We’ll do our best to match you up with fellow parents to make a table of 10, but cannot guarantee staying together):

CONCESSION TIX: These tickets can be purchased by people with concession cards registered with the school (i.e. CSEF recipients). If we are unable to match your name against our school register, we will be in contact with you to validate in person at the office.

We can't wait to share this night with you and hopefully meet our fundraising goal for the year with one of our last fundraising events.

This year the PA have tried to make a conscious effort to communicate our fundraising goals, outcomes and subsequent purchasing a bit more regularly.  

Although we are frequently reporting on our financials at our meetings, the reconciliation of reporting can take a bit of work which means total fundraising sums or finalised purchases aren’t always available quickly.  

A special shout out to PA treasurer Simone Traglia (Charlie, Grade 1), who has stepped into the treasurer role this year without any finance experience but a willingness to help and has done an exceptional job. I think some of us know what it’s like to be at war with an excel spreadsheet that won’t carry the 2, so Simone, amazing work and thanks for all the extra effort you’ve put into streamlining our reporting. 

The PA Annual General Meeting will provide a full financial overview tonight and next weeks newsletter will contain more detailed information on our fundraising total and contributions, however, here are some highlights:

• Our biggest fundraising events have been the Easter Raffle ($6,018.60) and the School Disco ($3,978.24), however, the trivia night will no doubt take that title in the coming weeks. Some of the contributions that have been made to the school are:

   

  • Catering for the Prep Welcome Morning Tea and World Teachers Day
  • Purchase of new sports uniform for inter school sporting events
  • $400 each to our Environmental Team, Marrung Team and Junior School Council

Second Hand Uniform Stall

Will be open on Monday, 26th October from 3:30pm to 3:40pm. The stall is a great opportunity to pick up a bargain and contributes to our fundraising initiatives.

A reminder that donations of school uniform for the stall can be dropped off at the office as long as they are in good condition and are clean. We are also accepting second hand costumes that will be available for resale at the stall.  

General clothing cannot be donated, please dispose of same via local charity bins. 

Today the PA will be holding their Annual General Meeting, which provides an opportunity for us to showcase the achievements for the year and celebrate the suppprt we’ve had from our incredible community.

The event is open to any member of our FWPS community to attend and is a great insight into the events and initiatives that are run by the PA.
