Term 4 in Music
Prep and Year 1
Prep and Year 1 students will enjoy exploring music through singing, percussion, games and hands-on instrument activities. They will develop their musical skills, confidence and creativity while learning about pitch, dynamics, tempo and rhythm. Students will have fun playing keyboards, xylophones and ukuleles, creating simple melodies and keeping a steady beat together. They will also discover and appreciate First Nations music.
Year 2 and Year 3
Year 2 and Year 3 students will explore the elements of music through singing, playing instruments and composing their own tunes. They will develop their creativity and improvisation skills by experimenting with musical patterns, sounds and rhythms. Students will also enjoy listening to a variety of musical styles, including classical, rock, hip-hop, rap, blues and jazz, broadening their musical knowledge and appreciation.
