Literacy
Over the coming fortnight, students will be exploring the theme of Celebrations. They will learn about different types of celebrations, including family, religious, cultural, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander celebrations, and discover why these events are important to people and communities. Students will also investigate Australian symbols and emblems, learn about our national celebrations, and explore how Anzac Day has helped shape Australian culture. Through these activities, students will develop a deeper understanding of Australia's rich and diverse traditions.

Maths
Over the coming fortnight, students will learn how addition and subtraction are connected by applying inverse operations to solve and check three-digit calculations. They will use concrete materials, such as base-10 blocks, and explore both standard and non-standard partitioning to assist with their calculations. Students will also make estimations to check that their answers are reasonable when solving mathematical problems.
Wellbeing
We have been busy reviewing our Ready to Learn Scales and Plans to ensure they are up to date with the strategies that assist our students best with their emotional regulation throughout the day. We will finish the term by completing the below lessons from Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships. Hit the green button below to find more information.
