Preps
After nearly 200 days of schooling, we are nearly at the end of the first year of school. It has been a year full of challenges, hard work but also plenty of smiles, laughs and good times.
We have had a couple of exciting events to wrap up the year. The kids did an amazing job with the concert, and I think we would agree that their performance was top notch. We also had a brilliant time on the excursion to Hanging Rock and Mount Macedon. To be honest, we think the kids loved the bus ride the most and would have happily sat on that for the whole day.
We wanted to finish this newsletter piece with a couple of thank you’s. Firstly, to all the parents who went above and beyond this year to help with their child’s schooling we feel largely in your debt for all the work you did. The kids have had an amazing year, and you have played a huge part in that. We also wanted to thank you for all the support you give us, whether this be helping with gardening or cooking, doing reading every night or helping on special school events, you are always there to help us and the kids. No request we make is ever too much to ask.
Next, we would like to thank the unsung hero of the Prep team this year and that is Kate. The amount of work that she puts in for the kids is unbelievable. She always goes the extra mile to make things a bit special and her care for all students is evident all the time.
Finally, we want to thank the 26 Preps that have made this year so amazing. They make coming to work every day such a joy and we both feel so lucky to have taught them this year. They are such a well-behaved bunch who loved being challenged with their work but also love having a smile and a laugh. The final part of the year has provided some unexpected situations, but the kids take it all in their stride and just get on with the job. We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday period.
