Dear Families,

Wow, what a great and busy week it has been for our Year 6 students!

Last Friday, some of our Year 6 students shared their Confirmation experience with the Year 1 and 2 students, reflecting on this important step in their faith journey. They spoke about the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Holy Spirit, and what the experience meant to them personally. It was a wonderful opportunity for the younger students to learn from the Year 6 students and ask questions about their faith.

Mathematics: In Mathematics next week, students will learn to identify right prisms and explore their key features. They will justify their decisions by explaining how the features of a shape determine whether it is a right prism.

Performing Arts: In Performing Arts next week, students will create drama based on their own experiences and ideas. They will work on developing and performing a short scene for their classmates.

Auslan: Next week in Auslan, students will work in teams to identify, practise and count the Auslan signs they know confidently. They will work collaboratively to sort sign cards, practise tricky signs and count the signs they can confidently produce.

Social & Emotional Learning: In SEL, students will continue exploring how gender norms and stereotypes can influence people’s behaviours, choices and opportunities. They will develop strategies to challenge limiting stereotypes and promote respect, fairness and equality.

  • Practise maths skills through everyday activities such as cooking, shopping, measuring and working with fractions.

Important Classroom Reminders:
