Over the last few weeks, we've hosted around 70 students at our Ranges TEC VET Taster Evenings. These offered the opportunity to meet the teachers, learn more about the courses and participate in hands-on activities. All VET courses are Certificate II and are offered in:

  • Building and Construction
  • Cookery
  • Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Electrotechnology
  • Engineering
  • Furniture Making
  • Horticulture

SPOTLIGHT ON ...  Certificate II in Early Childhood Education and Care Pathway

Interested in finding out if working in the Early Childhood sector is for you?

By completing a Certificate II in Early Childhood Education and Care Pathway, you will gain Unit 1&2 credit towards your VCE, VCE VM or VPC. This covers the minimum VET requirement for VCE VM.

This is a one year course, so you will gain the full Certificate II in one year! This means that you could start and finish this course in either Year 10, 11 or 12.

SPOTLIGHT ON ...   Certificate II in Furniture Making Pathways

Complete a Certificate II in Furniture Making Pathways and obtain Units 1-4 credit towards your VCE, VCE VM or VPC over two years.

Did you know that Certificate II in Furniture Making Pathways at Ranges TEC shares four core units with MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology? It also has two common electives that would be often included at most training institutions. This means that you won't have to repeat these units if you want to take up an apprenticeship as a Cabinet Maker!
