Christway News and Announcements
Our own published book available on Amazon? Yes!
Christway College Kingston Year 7 authors are excited to announce that we have published a short story anthology!
Inspired by the 2024 school theme Guided by His Light, these young writers have contributed diverse writing styles and a variety of genres according to their interpretation of the simple prompt: Light.
Thank you for celebrating with us and ordering your own copy of Light - An Anthology of Short Stories: By Year 7 Students at Christway College 2024.
During Book Week on Wednesday, 28 August, student authors will be doing a book launch and book signing session in the Salt Cafe from 8.45am to 9.00am and in the Living Room Cafe (Auditorium) from 1.00pm to -1.30pm.
We encourage students to secure their own copy of the book by using this Amazon link ($11). Limited books will be available for purchase on the day for $15.
Oliver! JR: Help Needed
College community, whilst we have most costumes organized for our production of Oliver! JR, we still need donations for the below items (that you no longer need):
- Any old, worn-out (even torn) collared shirts, that are white, grey or cream.
- some old grey blankets.
- some small wooden crates.
Should you be able to assist, please leave them at the College office.
We would also appreciate assistance from anyone who owns an overlocker and could offer to overlock some edges on squares of fabric. If you can help, please contact me at jenny.fairweather@christway.vic.edu.au.
Thank you in anticipation.

New Name and Mascot for Schoolbox
As you are doubtless aware, Christway College has been shifting to Schoolbox as our Learning Management System (LMS). Schoolbox is the brand of the LMS that we, and thousands of other schools, use to deliver learning, assessments and information to students and families.
Many schools choose to rebrand Schoolbox to reflect the unique personality of their school. We plan to do the same. Simultaneously we plan to create a mascot for our LMS.
