Welcome to Term 4

There has been a buzz in the air this week as students and staff commenced the Term 4 academic program. Our staff commenced the term with a staff professional learning day on Monday 6 October and I have very much enjoyed conversing with students and families across the school throughout the course of the week to hear about their school holiday adventures. 

As we commence the term, I take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge members of our staff team who worked through the non-term period and, specifically, our HSC teachers who continue to support our Year 12 students as they approach final preparations for their end-of-year examinations.

I am delighted to introduce and welcome the following new staff to our school.  

Teaching Staff Updates

Angus Byrne has been appointed as a Secondary PDHPE Teacher, commencing from the start of Term 4. Angus returns to us from the Sunshine Coast where he has been teaching at Sunshine Beach State High School. 

Ellen Bowman is a highly experienced Secondary English Teacher who joins us from St Teresa’s Catholic College in Noosaville. She has previously taught and held senior leadership positions at St Joseph’s College. Ellen will join us from the start of Term 4. 

Tilly Keenan has been appointed as a Secondary Mathematics teacher and will commence with us in 2026. Tilly joins us from St Joseph’s College, Echuca.
